Reservation Information and Policies
Check-In Time
3:00- 7:00 P.M. If arriving later, please call to make arrangements for self-check-in directions. If you desire an early check in (1 PM- based on availability) or late check out, there is a $25.00 fee for the two extra hours. Please make arrangements with the innkeepers ahead of time.
Check-Out Time
Monday-Saturday is 11:00 A.M. and 12 noon on Sunday (because everyone needs a little more time on Sunday!)
Payment Policy
We will charge your credit card on file the FULL amount 7 days before check-in. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.
State and local taxes will be added to all room rates. Currently 9%, (6% to the State of Texas and 3% to the local WORD)
Rates/policies are subject to change and vary during high impact periods and for special events.
Cancellation
- No charge if a room change or cancellation occurs OUTSIDE of 7 days of arrival date.
- Cancel or change dates within 4-7 days of arrival – $50 Administrative fee charged. Remainder may be credited towards another stay or refunded to your credit card on file.
- Cancel or change dates 1-3 days of arrival – 1st-night room charge is not returned unless we are able to rebook the cancelled room for the same time period, plus a $50 administrative fee.
- Cancel or change dates- same day of arrival – The full charge remains on your credit card, unless we are able to rebook the cancelled room for the same time period. If date change is desired, a $50 transfer fee will apply, plus any difference in room fees for the new dates.
Discounts
Sorry, no discounts offered for weekend stays of Friday or Saturday nights or holidays. We support our Active Duty Military, Veterans, First Responders, Teachers and Clergy with discounts Sunday-Thursday.
Minimum Stay
Two-night stays are REQUIRED for all Friday OR Saturday check-ins for our larger rooms. We offer the Vineyard and Cypress Cove as one-night availability. (Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Weekends require a 3-night minimum.)
Additional Guest
Rooms rates are for single or double occupancy. A third person may be added for an additional $25.00 per night in the Stargazer, which has a twin-size day bed. The Lone Star Mini Suite has a sofa that converts to a queen-size bed for up to 2 additional people, additional costs apply.
Children
Children over the age of 12 are welcome anytime. During Christmas holidays, whole house rentals and case-by-case requests will be considered-please contact the hosts for more information.
Pets
Pets are only allowed in the Lone StarMini-Suite. Please advise us of your pet(s) when you reserve your room, or as soon after as practical. We recommend pets be leashed when outside, due to open spaces and wildlife in the area. There is a $35 fee per night. Please contact us with any questions. Limit two dogs.
What is a service animal?
The ADA defines a service animal as any dogs or miniature horses whose work or tasks are directly related to the individual’s disability. If the animal meets this definition, the animal is considered a service animal under the ADA, regardless of whether the animal has been licensed or certified by a state or local government. A service animal is not a pet. Service animals perform some of the functions and tasks that the individual with a disability cannot perform for him or herself. Guide dogs are one type of service animal most people are familiar with. But there are service animals that assist persons with other kinds of disabilities in their day-to-day activities. Some examples include:
- Alerting persons with hearing impairments to sounds.
- Pulling wheelchairs or carrying and picking up things for persons with mobility impairments.
- Assisting persons with mobility impairments with balance.
However, animals whose sole function is to provide emotional support, comfort, therapy, companionship, etc. are not “service animals” under the definition.
Breakfast Times
A full country breakfast is served every morning of your stay Monday-Friday* 8:30-9:30 am, and on Saturday* and Sunday 8:30-10:00 am * Times may be adjusted due to special events.
Bed/Linen Service
We are in a very arid location, and our water resources are limited. You can help us conserve our resources by reusing the towels. We respect your privacy, so please let us know if your room requires additional towels or other supplies.
No Smoking / Penalty fee
We are a non-smoking facility. Smoking is not allowed anywhere inside our Bed and Breakfast, this includes e-cigarettes, vapes, pipes. You are welcome to smoke outside on either the decks, porches or balconies. Ashtrays are available for your use. $500 penalty for violations.
Parking
Off-street parking is available but limited. One off-street parking space is available for each guest room. Additional free parking is available across the street in the county pull out (also for oversized vehicles). We are not responsible for damage to vehicles, or damage or loss of property left in parked vehicles, regardless of location.
Stairs Info
We have several steps to enter from the guest parking lot to the house. We have one (1) room on the ground floor, The Lone Star Mini Suite, and five (5) rooms on the second floor – we DO NOT have an elevator. Stair-free parking is available in the front of the building for The Lone Star Mini Suite, if needed.
Landline Telephones
We do not provide telephones in the guest rooms. We ask that you be courteous to other guests and kindly monitor your time and volume while using your personal phone in your room. There is a landline telephone available in the kitchen for emergencies.
Damage to Property
Guests are responsible for any damage or loss they cause to the property. Guests may be charged for cleaning fees for damaged, destroyed or excessively soiled towels, linens, and other goods. Damages will be documented and added to the guest’s credit card on file.
Group Bookings/Whole House/Full Property Rentals
All 6 rooms, plus common areas and host on site: $500 deposit is required to hold the reservation and as a security deposit. This deposit will be returned minus $50 administration fee if the reservation is changed/cancelled 31 days or more prior to arrival. If the reservation is changed/cancelled less than 30 days prior to arrival, you are financially responsible for one night’s stay (per room). Full payment is due 7 days prior to arrival. A separate rental agreement must be signed for all-room rentals.
Parties, Events, and Gatherings
Non-registered guests; Thinking of inviting some friends over? Due to the intimacy of the B&B/our home, and privacy of other guests, non-registered guests are not allowed without prior arrangements being made with the host. However, feel free to entertain one or two friends on the back deck, gardens or backyard area between 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM.

We reserve the right to turn away guests in direct violation of our children’s policy, non-registered guests policy and/or pet policy, with no refund.
Equinox Inn at Canyon Lake may amend this Policy Statement in order to meet changes, business needs, or to address the needs and safety of our guests and property.
