Keith grew up camping on the Guadalupe River years ago, so returning now just feels like coming home. With Keith’s background in computers and engineering, he has had the opportunity to travel around the world and has never met a stranger! Keith is an amateur astronomer who was on the steering committee to bring the George Observatory to the Brazos Bend State Park. Keith has been an active volunteer with a number of city and civic organizations including the Girls Scouts and Boys Scouts of America.

Darrin and Keith have a blended family of five children, their spouses, and twelve grandchildren! Needless to say, holidays can be entertaining around here!

As Darrin and Keith traveled, they would consider what they liked or would change about the place they were staying. One day Keith stumbled on an organization that was hosting a class on “So You Want to be An Innkeeper.”

After attending the class, they had the opportunity to inn sit a property while the owners vacationed. Over the next several years, Darrin and Keith had the opportunity to experience different sizes, styles, and personalities of B&B’s in Texas while they refined their hosting skills and found the perfect place.

Our guests will start the experience as they step onto the graceful porch that beckons with rocking chairs. As they step through the main doors, the guests will be welcomed warmly as they begin to relax and unwind. The guests’ expectations include clean, well-appointed rooms with quality bed linens, towels, and amenities. Couple this with exceptional and personalized customer service, to foster a professional, yet friendly relationship, where the guest feels appreciated and valued. After a restful nights’ sleep, begin the day with an artistically prepared breakfast, or enjoy a cup of freshly brewed coffee on one of the decks overlooking the lake or garden, before the day’s journey begins.
